How profoundly moving it is when someone we deeply respect, someone we admire greatly, calls us personally. Imagine the rush of excitement, the sense of honor that arises when we hear those words: “Someone important has called for you.” Consider reflecting on something infinitely more significant, Jesus Christ, the Master, the Lord Himself, personally calling you. In John 11:28-29, Mary receives this very call from the lips of her sister Martha. The call was simple yet profound: “The Master is come, and He calleth for thee.” Today, that call still resounds.
